Please let me introduce myself. My name is Gail Bell. I have been licensed to practice massage therapy in Arlington County, Virginia, since 1985.
A member of the American Massage Therapy Association, AMTA, and former member of the National Sports Massage Team of the AMTA, I maintain a home-based practice in Arlington. I earned the Registered Massage Therapist designation through AMTA in 1989 and have been nationally and Virginia-state certified since 1992.
I have studied with and received additional certification from Paul St. John, Aaron Mattes, Ben Benjamin, Leon Chaitow, Benny Vaughn and others.
I received a B.A. in Sociology from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA and subsequently graduated from the Potomac Myotherapy Institute in Washington, D.C.. Additionally, I was trained by the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington and gave fitness and conditioning classes at the local Y for 4 years.
I am an avid dancer and believe that exercise can make the difference in overall health and longevity. I have given self-care presentations to seniors groups, at the Women’s Center in Vienna VA, and at the Wildlife Federation of America. I am also a regular volunteer with Crisislink, the local outreach hotline, and at the Arlington Free Clinic.
I look forward to working with you and members of your family. Thanks for taking the time to visit my site and learn about my practice.
